Hi there! I’m Melonie Pinkston, the heart behind MPink Photos. Based in Greenbelt, Maryland, I’m a photographer with a passion for capturing the moments that make life extraordinary. From heartfelt milestones to everyday moments, I love capturing your unique stories in timeless, beautiful images.
I fell in love with photography at the Art Institute, where I honed my skills and discovered how powerful storytelling through a lens can be. Since then, I’ve poured my creativity and attention to detail into every shoot, making sure each photo reflects not just what happened, but how it felt.
For me, photography is more than a job—it’s my way of connecting with people and celebrating life’s beauty. Whether it’s a big celebration, a quiet moment, or something in between, I’m here to help you hold on to it forever. Let’s create something unforgettable together!
Process
My process is designed to keep things simple, stress-free, and fun—from our first conversation to the moment you receive your final photos. Here’s how it all comes together step by step.
Consultation
We’ll begin with a 30–45 minute conversation to talk through your vision, style preferences, and expectations. This is where we’ll go over important details such as your preferred date, time, and location, as well as which package works best for you. The goal is to make sure everything feels clear and tailored to your needs before shoot day.
The Photo Shoot
On the day of your session, it’s all about creating a fun and comfortable experience. Whether we’re in the studio or on location, I’ll guide you through poses and prompts while also capturing natural, candid moments. Expect lots of laughter and genuine interactions—it’s as much about the experience as it is about the final images.
Client Selection
After the shoot, you’ll receive access to a proof gallery of unedited (raw) images. From there, you’ll be able to select your favorite photos—the ones that best capture your personality and story. This step ensures that the final edited collection reflects the images you love most.
Editing & Retouching
Once your selections are made, I’ll carefully edit and retouch each chosen photo. Editing typically takes about one week, depending on the number of images in your package. Every photo is thoughtfully refined to enhance lighting, color, and detail, while maintaining a natural and authentic look.
Final Delivery
When editing is complete, you’ll receive a private online gallery with your final images, ready to download, share, and print. At this stage, you’ll also receive your final invoice to close out the process. From start to finish, my goal is to make the experience smooth, enjoyable, and something you’ll be excited to look back on.
